Added a color picker and color-code input alongside the existing color chips for choosing page colors. Also added color objects that look like pages but display only a color code, and changed the hover detection used whe…
When moving a large object, the hover appeared on a different object instead of the page beneath the cursor.
On a real board, verify that free page-color selection, color objects, and page-entry hover while moving large objects behave as intended.

Added full-text search across personal notes. It opens from the magnifying-glass icon in the header or with ⌘K / Ctrl+K and searches titles, text notes, and text in pages, links, and columns. Selecting a result opens the…
As notes increased, an entry point for finding them through words became necessary. The first version stops at opening the note; centering the matching location…
While logged in, test ⌘K search and confirm that personal notes appear and can be opened from the results.

The blue connection handle was intrusive while writing text, so it is now hidden during input.
Because the blue handle gets in the way when it overlaps the text being entered.
Deploy this to production and verify that the blue connection handle stays hidden while typing and that the publication toggle behaves correctly.

Fixed the missing OGP image when sharing and removed the blanket no-index setting. Added public/private controls to notes so only published items can be read externally, and also created an explanation page for signed-ou…
The OGP image pointed to localhost and could not be retrieved externally. I decided that only published notes should appear in search, while everything else sho…
Deploy the changes to production and check the publication toggle and search preview once.

Improving the points where editing a name or URL after placement caused overlapping inputs or unwanted content to be pasted onto the board.
Page names can now be edited in the center of the card without overlapping the original text, and pasted content is no longer placed on the board while editing …
Because duplicated display or unintended pasting during editing interrupts the interaction.
Test editing a page name and pasting into a URL field on a real board.
When renaming a page, does having the input field in the center of the card feel natural?

While actually using links and columns, I am refining the awkward parts of editing, arranging, and moving items into pages.
Prioritized fixing friction found through use, including URL editing and pasting, alignment in columns, and placing items inside pages.
Because avoiding confusion after placement currently matters more than adding features.
On a real board, test placing an item over a page to move it inside, and verify how links and columns are edited.
If you hold a card over a page for a moment and release it, is it clear that the card will move inside the page?

The experience is expanding beyond tracing pages to placing links, arranging items vertically, and connecting them with lines. On smartphones, users can swipe through empty space and add notes from the plus button.
Added “place, arrange, and connect” interactions on the board, plus navigation and note creation on smartphones.
Because I wanted to move beyond merely tracing items and support arranging collected material and relating it.
Use links, columns, connections, smartphone swipe navigation, and note creation directly, and look for anything that feels awkward.
Would you want to use an interaction that organizes notes and links vertically?

lilnote, where notes can be placed freely, is being reshaped so pages can be followed and organized from HOME. Back navigation, connections, and child pages are now all usable.
Stopped relying on the note list and New controls in the header, and changed navigation toward pages on the canvas and breadcrumbs.
Because following pages from HOME felt less confusing than opening them from a menu.
In production, test the entire flow: HOME → create page → open → return through breadcrumbs.
Does navigating through pages from HOME feel intuitive?

Prioritizing a fix in the live lilnote service where opening a saved note failed to restore its content to the Canvas. Note URLs are also being standardized on /note/<id>.
Decided to change note URLs opened from the cloud list to the ID-based format /note/<id>.
Because reliably reopening saved content is a fundamental part of the note-taking experience.
Open a note from the list using real data and verify that saved text and positioned elements return to the Canvas.
